Father God,
We unite in prayer as your Church in Miami this week. We continue to marvel at your grace in our lives and we are humbled by your affection for us. We pray together in Thanksgiving for your mercies and the fullness your love creates in our lives. We ask, Lord God, that you would mark us as your own. Please, Lord, in spite of our waywardness and our near constant self focus we truly desire that our lives would be be decorated by the art of your hand. We pray that, as your church in Miami, our lives would be a visible reminder to the city that your Kingdom is at work even in this present time. We pray that our lives would be undeniably marked where your astounding love has impacted us. We pray that you would continue to transform us in ways that not only change who we are but also authentically change who we appear to be to the watching world. We pray that we would not seek shelter from your transformational love but that we would submit to it and feel it rain down across our lives leaving us forever molded more in your image.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen
Amen to that! Brings to mind this verse I've been in meditation on for a couple months now. 1 Cor 3:18 And we all with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed from one degree of glory to another. This comes for the Lord who is the Spirit. NLT version has it this way 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. Those who believe in Miami be encouraged, that you are a reflection of God's glory..and are constantly being renewed from one degree to another..one day we will find ourselves in completion in unity with Christ and His Kingdom..until then keep transforming!
