Prayer for the Doctors

Father,
This is Good Friday the day we remember Christ’s sacrifice and as I reflect on that day I think of Simon who helped Jesus carry his cross. Thank you that you give us a picture of community. Though Simon couldn’t pay the debt of sin like Christ could he was able to help Him bear the weight briefly. So I thank you for the doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers who on this day are bearing the weight of sacrifice on behalf of all us as they fight to save people from this pandemic.
