Prayer for the Heart of God

FATHER, what makes you euphorically thrilled? What makes you angry? What bores you or excites you? What are you passions and desires? What puts an amused smile on your face or causes to you laugh out loud? What makes you shake your head in disgust or lower your eyes and grieve? I have a feeling they are not the things that elicit these same emotions in us. Oh Lord, we want to know your heart. We need to know your heart. How can we pray rightly if we don’t know? FATHER, as we commit to continuous and fervent prayer, reveal your heart to us in increasing measure so that our prayers are informed by the very heart of God
