Prayer for The Bahamas

Father God,

we cry out to you for our neighbors - our brothers and sisters - who have been devastated by the hurricane Dorian. We know that You are greater than the storm. We pray that even in the wake of this tragedy You would be glorified. We pray for Your Church in the Bahamas that they would be comforted so they may be a comfort and blessed so that they may be a blessings. Lord, we ask that you fill the rest of us with a longing to care for those who have lost everything. Let us be reminded of how fragile this world and everything in is so that we would learn to depend on you alone. For you are an everlasting loving Father. Embrace the people of the Northern Bahamas who have suffered through this storm and continue to suffer in it’s wake. Let them feel Your presence in the midst of their grief. Let Your Love work it’s way through all the destruction to redeem and restore the way that only You can. Amen
