Forgive our Apathy

Father,
I am convicted. I am convicted of my apathy about the city and the place where you have placed me right now. I am also convinced that you care deeply for Miami and the people who live here. Forgive me. Forgive me for not caring. Forgive me for ignoring your call to prayer for so long. Forgive your Church, your body of believers, here in this city for our apathy. Forgive us for our pettiness and shallowness. Forgive us for not living out the lives of Faith you have called us to, Father. Forgive us and heal us. Join us together as your Church - your bride - here in the place where you have placed us. Oh Father, that you would be glorified in Miami. Put a burden on the hearts of your people to pray for this place. Hear us as we offer ourselves and this city as unworthy instruments for your Glory. Pour yourself out over Miami and her residents. Transform your Church and transform Miami.
